California car, very straight, solid with good gaps and panel fit. One of the past owners is from Lake Tahoe area and had purchased this 911T from a co-worker at Coca-Cola back in the early 1980s. European Collectibles purchased this 911T in 2018. In June of 2019, a major service was done for $12,453 which included new brake lines, master cylinder, brake rotors, brake pads, and new tires. The Zeniths carburetors were professionally rebuilt, new spark plugs, wires, new fuel lines, vacuum hoses, valve cover gaskets, oil change, accelerator pedal bushings, drag link for hand throttle, ignition switch, wiper switch, turn signal switch and adjust the parking brake. Cosmetically new Haargarn German carpets were installed with new seatback leather straps, and the steering wheel was rewrapped in leather. Recently $1,856 spent in March of 2021 a full service was done including oil change, spark plugs, air filter, fuel hose, crankcase breather hose, ignition wire set, and adjust the front wheel bearings.
According to the Porsche Production Specifications, the engine and transmission are matching. The original color was Bahia Red with a Black leatherette interior. Currently, it is finished in Silver Metallic with Black leatherette upholstery. The interior is original with some patina for its age.
Mechanically, is in very good condition, with the matching 2.2L flat-six engine, a smooth-shifting 5-speed manual transmission (there is some wear in the second gear synchro, but it is able to be driven without any issues if you take your time and do not speed shift) and four-wheel disc brakes. Complete with spare tire, service documentation, spare key, and owner's manual. A great opportunity to acquire a nice driver 911T Coupe.
Specification
C Series Model Year 1970 was the first of the 2.2-liter engine with a single overhead camshaft, 6 cylinders with 2 valves per cylinder. The output of 123 bhp (of power at 5,800 rpm, and maximum torque of 130 lb·ft at 4200 RPM. Top speed of 124 mph.
History
The 1970–1971 model years consisted of the same models of 911 the entry-level T, the midrange E, and the top-of-the-line S. However, all models got a new, larger 2.2-liter engine, which was an increase over the 2.0 liter from 1964 to 1969. The new power ratings were 120 hp (97 kW) for the T, 155 hp (123 kW) for the E, and 180 hp (142 kW) for the S. The 911E and 911S used mechanical fuel injection (MFI) in all markets and the 911T was carbureted.
