Sold new by Schultz (Porsche Dealer) in Dusseldorf, Germany, this Cabriolet was delivered with a Blaupunkt Radio, 2 loudspeakers, and an antenna as the only options. A full nut and bolt restoration was done from 2016 to 2018 by the past owner. It was then sold to one of our clients in late 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada. European Collectibles has done a thorough and complete inspection, including a full service on this beautiful 356.
According to the Kardex, this 356 was originally delivered in Ruby Red with Black leatherette interior. The past owner elected to have the color changed to a special-order Black (6413 color code), a very desirable and stunning color combination with a Red leather interior and tan carpets. Options include a Hella 128 fog lights with amber lens, Durant side mirror, and chrome wheels with Pirelli P4 185/65 15 tires. Mechanically, the 1600cc engine has 75 horsepower and is a joy to drive with a smooth-shifting manual 4-speed 741 transmission. Complete with tools, jack, owner manual, boot cover, and matching number driveline per Kardex. History
The 356C represents the final and most developed version of the model that made Porsche's reputation on roads and racetracks throughout the 1950s. It was a far cry from the handful of basic sports cars made in a small village in postwar Austria. Porsche had grown exponentially and gained an enviable reputation all over the world for building high quality, fun, and quick sports cars.
